The vial keeps the sample stable for up to 7 days at room temperature, so there is no need to collect and post on the same day. The kit itself is generally good for about 6 months from the date you ordered it, as long as the collection materials stay sealed and are stored properly.
Drop the package at a FedEx Office, FedEx Ship Center or authorised shipping partner. The clock starts when the laboratory receives it, not when you post it — which is why the end-to-end figure is closer to three weeks.
Why you cannot just add it to a cart anywhere
The GI-MAP™ is a laboratory test that requires a licensed practitioner to order it. That is why searching for it turns up practitioner clinics rather than a straightforward buy button, and it is the single thing that stops most people from getting the test.
We resolve it by supplying the practitioner. You provide the required participant details at checkout, and an authorized ordering practitioner places the order with the laboratory. You do not need a referral, an existing functional-medicine provider, or a doctor willing to sign off. What you should not believe is anyone selling the GI-MAP™ as a no-practitioner-involved consumer product — that is not how this test is ordered.
